CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Sophomore Ann Carroll Ingersoll played just one and half sets, but her 11 kills on 14 attempts during that time helped the Harvard women's volleyball team down Holy Cross, 3-1, Tuesday night at the Malkin Athletic Center. The Crimson improved to 4-7 on the season with the 25-19, 25-27, 27-25, 25-15 win over the Crusaders.

Ingersoll, who hit .714 for the match, was one of four Crimson players to record double-digit kills. Junior Mikaelle Comrie led the Crimson with 14 kills, while freshman Tayor Docter had 13 and sophomore Sandra Lynne Fryhofer has 12. Senior Lily Durwood handed out 49 assists, while sophomore Christine Wu led the Crimson defensively with 22 digs. Seniors Katherine Kocurek and Chelsea Ono Horn both contributed with 18 digs as well.

The Crimson hit .351 in the first set and came back from a 17-10 deficit in the third set to take the lead in the match. The Crimson held the advantage in kills, 69-49, digs, 78-62, services aces, 8-5, and team blocks, 8-7.

Harvard opens its Ivy League campaign by hosting Dartmouth Friday at 6 p.m.
