CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After tying the
Harvard single-game record for tackles in a game, Nick Hasselberg
has been selected as the COOP Athlete of the Week for Nov. 22.
Hasselberg, playing in his final game for the Crimson, recorded
10 tackles in each half to total 20 against archrival Yale
and tie Isaiah Kacybenski '00, who accomplished the
feat twice in 1999 (Colgate, Fordham). One of Hasselberg's
most important tackles came on a Yale fourth-and-one from the
Harvard 10. Hasselberg and teammate Alexander Norman broke through
the offensive line to drop Yale running back Morecai Cargill for a
one-yard loss and keep the score tied at 7-7.
Hasselberg also added a quarterback hurry to his stat line from
The Game. He finishes the season tied as team leader in tackles
with Collin Zych. Both finished their senior seasons with 79.
Hasselberg also had two sacks, five tackles for losses and three
pass breakups on the season.
