The Harvard women’s tennis team faces Central Florida,
Saturday at 2 p.m. and No. 20 South Florida, Monday at 11 a.m.
About Harvard
The Crimson stands 5-4 on the season with recent losses to Purdue
and No. 39 Illinois. In the No. 1 spot, sophomore Holly Cao holds a
6-1 record while freshman Hideko Tachibana is 5-3 at the No. 2
position. Freshman Kristin Norton holds a 6-2 record in No. 3
singles.
About the Golden Knights
The Knights are 6-1 on the season with wins over Florida Atlantic,
Memphis, Florida A&M, Jacksonville, Michigan State and Florida
Gulf Coast. Their only loss of the season came at the hands of No.
8 Florida. Junior Jenny Frisell holds a 7-4 record at the No. 1
singles spot, while the doubles pair of Frisell and senior Katie
Orletsky hold a 4-1 record at the No. 1 position.
About the Bulls
South Florida holds a 5-3 record and will face Clemson and
Winthrop in road matches before returning home to host Harvard on
Monday. The Bulls recently fell to the South Carolina, 5-2, in
Columbia, S.C.
Coming Attractions
The Crimson continues their road stretch as they head to
California for three matches during spring break. Harvard faces
California, St. Mary’s and Fresno State March 17-20.
