EVANSTON, Ill. – Micaela Cyr netted two goals, and goalie Melanie Cook recorded nine saves, but the Harvard women's lacrosse team fell on the road at No. 4 Northwestern, 16-3, Saturday afternoon.

Danielle Tetreault tallied Harvard's other goal, as the Crimson sees its record move to 0-4 on the year. Audrey Todd led the Crimson with three ground balls, while Kyleigh Keating had three draw controls. Cyr added two draw controls and was 2-of-2 on free-position attempts.

In the first, the Wildcats (7-1) tallied the first five goals of the game, but Tetreault got Harvard on the board with a score off a free-position attempt at 11:29, 5-1. Northwestern took a 7-1 lead into the break, as Melanie Cook made two saves in the first for the Crimson.

In the second, Cyr netted two goals off free-position attempts, cutting the deficit to 7-3, but the Wildcats controlled play the rest of the half. Northwestern goalie Bridge Bianco finished with five saves, while Erin Fitzgerald scored six goals.

Harvard went 3-of-5 on free-position attempts and was 8-of-20 on clear attempts. The Wildcats led in draw controls, 12-9, ground balls, 26-13, and shots, 38-11.

The Crimson remains on the road and will face Marquette Tuesday, March 19 at 4 p.m. EST.
