HANOVER, N.H. - Harvard women's rugby (4-4, 3-2) defeated Princeton (3-4, 3-2), 22-15, this morning in the Ivy Tournament Championship third-place match.
The Harvard offense was firing on all cylinders in the first half. The Tigers were able to score first, but Harvard would go on to dominate the rest of the match. Captains Kaleigh Henry and Hope Schwartz both found the end zone and sophomore Claire Collins scored twice, giving the Crimson a 22-10 lead after the first 40 minutes.
With a strong lead, the Crimson defense was the star of the second half. Princeton was able to score once in but Harvard held on to a 22-15 lead, taking home third place at the Ivy Tournament Championship.
