PRINCETON, N.J. – On its first Ivy League road trip of the season, the 46th-seeded Harvard women's tennis team was tripped up by No. 69 Princeton, 5-2, Saturday afternoon at the Lenz Tennis Center.

Princeton (15-5, 4-0 Ivy) picked up the first point of the afternoon after sweeping two doubles matches. On court one, Harvard's (9-6, 1-2 Ivy) senior, freshman partnership of Hannah Morrill and Monica Lin fell to Lindsay Graff and Alanna Wolff, 8-5. The freshmen duo of Spencer Liang and June Lee dropped an 8-4 decision on the second court to Amanda Muliawan and Emily Hahn.

In singles action, Amy He put Harvard on the board as the sophomore downed Caroline Joyce, 6-2, 6-0, in the fourth spot. Classmate Amanda Lin was bested by Dorothy Tang, 6-1, 6-3, in the sixth position before Liang fell to Graff, 6-4, 6-1, on court one.  

The Tigers sealed the victory with a win on the third court as Lee fell to Wolff, who is seeded 107 in the ITA, 7-5, 6-3. Morrill was the lone Crimson to play in three sets, but the captain couldn't rally past Katie Goepel, 6-2, 4-6, 6-2, on court five. M. Lin snapped her four-match losing streak with a 6-4, 6-4 triumph over Muliawan at number two to earn Harvard's second win of the afternoon.

Harvard returns to action tomorrow when it visits Penn for a 12 p.m. match.
