CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - With a season-high ranking of No. 62, breakout individual performances, strong wins, and its core returning next year, the Crimson's 2025-26 season laid the groundwork for a bright future in Cambridge.
Beginning in the fall, the Crimson enjoyed success in individual tournaments, headlined by
Stephanie Yakoff qualifying for the NCAA Singles Championship. With a win in the opening round, Yakoff became the first player in program history to win a match in the NCAA singles draw since at least 2002.
The Crimson traveled all over the country and faced a stacked schedule throughout the dual season. Harvard started its non-conference slate with two strong wins over Niagara and Boston University and then went on a six-match win streak heading into Ivy League action.
Harvard battled in every conference match in a strong Ivy League. In the Crimson's final weekend, it picked up its second ranked win of the season, defeating No. 49 Columbia, 4-1.
Kavya Karra also had a breakout season for the Crimson, leading the team in singles and doubles wins with 20 and 26 respectively. The junior earned her first All-Ivy honor of her career with a Second Team All-Ivy selection for singles.
Claire Shao impressed in her first year with the Crimson, tallying 16 singles wins and 13 doubles wins and earning an Honorable Mention All-Ivy nod for singles.
Natasha Rajaram and
Natalie Block rounded out the All-Ivy honors for the Crimson as the duo earned an Honorable Mention All-Ivy selection.
Following the conclusion of the 2025-26 season, the Crimson says goodbye to its lone senior,
Charlotte Owensby. Throughout her time in Cambridge, Owensby accumulated 49 singles wins, 37 doubles wins, two All-Ivy selections, and was named the ITA Northeast Region Rookie of the Year and the Ivy League Rookie of the Year.
Despite losing its senior Harvard is poised for another strong season next year as it returns the core of its lineup.
