Harvard Rugby Returns Home For Clash With Cornell

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Harvard women's rugby team returns home to face off against Cornell on Saturday, Sept. 27, at 11 a.m. at Cumnock Field.

The Crimson picked up its first victory of the season last weekend, defeating Yale, 54-0.

The offensive outburst is a welcoming sign after Harvard scored 15 points in the home-opening loss to Brown.Cornell is coming off a strong 22-0 shutout of Columbia at home last week.

The win moves the Big Red to 2-0 on the season after they defeated Yale at home, 30-5.

This will be Cornell's first road game of the season.Saturday will mark the first-ever meeting between the Crimson and Cornell since Harvard women's rugby became a varsity sport.

The Crimson will be back in action October 4, when Harvard travels to Princeton to take on the Tigers at Rickerson Field for a noon clash.
