CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's rugby is on the road this weekend for the ACRA 7's Rugby National Championships, May 2-3, hosted by Army.
Last Time Out
The Crimson was last in action two weeks ago at the Ivy 7's Championship. Harvard finished the day with a 1-3 record and a fourth-place finish. Harvard's victory came against arch rival Yale, taking down the Bulldogs, 22-0.
The Field
Harvard will compete in the Division I group featuring many of the top programs in the country. The Crimson will be joined by Norwich, Army, AIC and Navy, teams Harvard has faced during the 2014-15 seasons. The Crimson saw Norwich and AIC as hosts of the Frostbite 7's tournament, took on Army at the Sorenson Cup and played Navy during the fall season.

The tournament opens with group play, seeing Harvard play one match against each of the other four teams in the Division I group Saturday and Sunday. Harvard opens the weekend with a match against Army at 9:20 a.m., followed by AIC at 11:20 a.m. and closes the day against Norwich at 1:40 p.m. On Sunday, the Crimson ends group play against Navy at 9:20 a.m.
Once group play has concluded, the four teams with the best records advance to the semifinal round, played at 11:20 a.m. The winners will move on to the championship match played at 1:40 p.m. and the losers will play in the consolation match at 1:20 p.m.
The Squad
Lydia Burns and Cheta Emba will captain Harvard's team at the ACRA 7's Rugby National Championships. The side features a balanced mix of experience and youth. Eight players who featured heavily during the fall season will make the trip to West Point, joined by six players who joined the team after the New Year and saw action during the spring season.
