CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 57 Harvard women's tennis team (5-4) heads to Virginia to matchup against No. 42 William & Mary and Old Dominion. The Crimson faces the Tribe Saturday, Feb. 27 at 1:30 p.m. and the Lady Monarchs Sunday, Feb. 28 at 11 a.m.
Last Time Out
The Crimson swept its three-match weekend against Boston University, Maryland, and Marist. Harvard posted a close 4-3 victory over the Terriers, while easily surpassing the Terrapins, 6-1, and the Red Foxes, 4-0. Senior captain Amy He finished the weekend with a 3-0 singles record, while Erica Oosterhout followed with a 2-0 singles mark.
About Harvard
Amy He leads Harvard with a 15-3 record, while teammates Nikki Kallenberg and Erica Oosterhout follow with 14-6 and 13-6 marks, respectively. Annika Ringblom wraps up the top four with an 11-7 record. Isabel Jasper leads the Crimson with an 11-10 mark in doubles play. Harvard boasts a 104-70 overall record, going 72-43 in singles play and 32-27 in doubles.

Harvard was given a ranking of No. 72 by the ITA after a successful weekend at the ECAC Division I Indoor Championship where it upset No. 43 Princeton and No. 53 Brown. This was the first ranking of the year for the Crimson.

Scouting No. 42 William and Mary
No. 42 William and Mary has tallied a 6-4 overall record since the start of the spring season, while grabbing a 1-0 mark in the Colonial Athletic Association. Elizaveta Nemchinov has been ranked as high as No. 85 (Feb. 10) and as of Feb. 23 sits at No. 89. The Tribe's Nemchinov and Julia Casselbury are the only two singles players with double-digit wins, 11-5 and 10-5, respectively. Maria Groener leads all doubles players with a 9-5 mark.
Scouting Old Dominion
In the ITA Preseason Rankings, Old Dominon was ranked No. 57 and has since fallen out of the poll. The Lady Monarchs opened up the spring season with a 4-4 record, while Old Dominion's top singles player, Ingrid Vojcinakova holds a 5-2 mark.

The Crimson has been named to COOP Student-Athlete of the Week multiple times with Amy He being voted during week three and week 20. Annika Ringblom was selected during week three while Nikki Kallenberg and June Lee was chosen during week six and 19, respectively.

Back in Crimson
Sophomores Nikki Kallenberg, Annika Ringblom, juniors June Lee and Danielle Mirda, and senior Amy He return from the 2014-15 squad that went 7-12 overall. Ringblom was named to the All-Ivy League second team in doubles a year ago, concluding the season after recording a 16-12 season with a partner, including 3-4 mark in Ivy League play.

Fresh Faces
Head Coach Traci Green added the eighth-best recruiting class in the country according to TennisRecruiting.net. Erica Oosterhout, Sabrina Xiong, and Isabel Jasper come to Harvard from around the world to make up Harvard's third consecutive top-ten class, and fifth in the past seven seasons. Oosterhout was ranked No. 8 in the top-10 Oracle/ITA Division I Women's National Newcomer/Freshmen Rankings.

On the Sidelines
Traci Green is in her ninth season at the helm for the Crimson. Under her guidance, Harvard won the program's 18th Ivy League title in 2009 with a 13-8 overall record and a 6-1 conference mark. Green owns a 119-107 overall record, including an 85-79 mark over the past nine seasons.

Senior Amy He was chosen to be the team's captain for the 2015-16 academic year. He is the 53rd captain in program history.
