CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Heading to California to complete its non-conference schedule, Harvard women's tennis will take on Loyola Marymount Wednesday, March 16 at 4 p.m. before matching up with UC Santa Barbara and No. 24 Fresno State over the weekend, March 19-20. The latter contests will begin at 3 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.
Last Time Out
Harvard won a pair of non-conference matches, defeating Providence and Rhode Island, 7-0, in contests Sunday, March 13 at the Murr Center.
The doubles pair of Annika Ringblom and Sabrina Xiong finished the day 2-0 after defeating the Friars' Alana Prinos and Emma Burgess, 6-1, and the Rams' Anna Peacock and Taylor Holden, 6-0. June Lee, Erica Oosterhout, Ringblom, and Xiong tallied 2-0 marks on the day in singles play.

Amy He leads Harvard with an 18-4 singles record, while teammates Nikki Kallenberg and Erica Oosterhout follow with 16-8 and 15-8 marks, respectively. Annika Ringblom wraps up the top four with a 14-7 record, and leads the Crimson with a 13-6 mark in doubles play. Harvard's players boast a 126-81 combined record, going 88-50 in singles play and 38-31 in doubles.

With a three-match clean sweep on Feb. 19-20, the Crimson earned its second ranking of the year, placing No. 57.
Harvard broke into the poll at No. 72 on Feb. 10 by the ITA after a successful weekend at the ECAC Division I Indoor Championship where it upset No. 43 Princeton and No. 53 Brown. This was the first ranking of the year for the Crimson.

Clean Sweeps
Harvard has tallied seven victories in 2016, three of them coming in shutout fashion. Harvard blanked Marist, 4-0, in the second match of a doubleheader Feb. 20 and picked up a pair of 7-0 decisions March 13 over Providence and Rhode Island.
Individuals vs. Ranked Opponents
Erica Oosterhout leads the Crimson against ranked opponents with a 2-1 record, while Nikki Kallenberg and June Lee follow with 1-1 marks.
Scouting Loyla Marymount
The Lions sport a 4-6 record in 2016, earning its victories against Sacramento State, UC Riverside, San Diego State and Utah State. Andrea Crespo and Kristine Kouyoumjian pace the squad with nine wins apiece while the pair of Elvira Juravliova and Jessica Perez hold the team's top mark in doubles at 5-2. The meeting marks the first in program history between the two schools.
Scouting UC Santa Barbara
The Gauchos are 6-5 on the season, including a 2-0 start in Big West action. Four student-athletes have eclipsed the 10-win mark in singles play, led by Jaimee Gilbertson's 14. Paulina Dubavets and Stefani Stojic make up the nation's 19th-ranked doubles pair, and are 18-3 on the season. Harvard is 7-7 all-time against UC Santa Barbara, dropping the last meeting in 2009, 6-1.
Scouting No. 24 Fresno State
The Bulldogs fell to No. 24 in the most recent ITA rankings, and are 10-4 on the season. Unbeaten at home, Fresno State is led by Mayar Sherif Ahmed, who is the nation's No. 34 singles player at 15-9 overall. Mayar Sherif Ahmed and her sister Rana Sherif Ahmed have combined for the country's 20th-ranked doubles tandem, recording a 14-6 mark overall. The Crimson is even at 7-7 in the all-time series with Fresno State, and swept the Bulldogs, 7-0, in the last meeting in 2009.

Fresh Faces
Head Coach Traci Green added the eighth-best recruiting class in the country according to TennisRecruiting.net. Erica Oosterhout, Sabrina Xiong, and Isabel Jasper come to Harvard from around the world to make up Harvard's third consecutive top-ten class, and fifth in the past seven seasons. Oosterhout was ranked No. 8 in the top-10 Oracle/ITA Division I Women's National Newcomer/Freshmen Rankings.

On the Sidelines
Traci Green is in her ninth season at the helm for the Crimson. Under her guidance, Harvard won the program's 18th Ivy League title in 2009 with a 13-8 overall record and a 6-1 conference mark. Green owns a 121-109 overall record, including an 87-81 mark over the past nine seasons.

Senior Amy He was chosen to be the team's captain for the 2015-16 academic year. He is the 53rd captain in program history.
