CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Harvard women's volleyball team will travel to Long Beach State and Loyola Marymount this weekend to compete in the 2016 Baden Invitational. Along with the Crimson, the tournament will feature Long Beach State, Loyola Marymount, Duke, Arizona State and Pepperdine.
A total of four matches will be played, three at the Walter Pyramid at Long Beach and one at Gersten Pavilion at Loyola Marymount. The complete schedule for Harvard at the Baden Invitational can be found below:

About the 2016 Baden Invitational
The Baden Invitational will be jointly hosted by Long Beach State University (LBSU) and Loyola Marymount University (LMU). This marks the first partnership between LBSU and LMU for the tournament.
Last Time Out
The Harvard women's volleyball team hosted the first annual Beantown Challenege on Sept. 2-3, sweeping Siena 3-0. The Crimson was unable to edge Georgia on Sept. 3 to conclude play in the Beantown Challenge, falling to the Bulldogs, 3-0.
Ace, Ace Baby
Senior Corinne Bain sent a game-winning ace down the court against Siena at the first annual Beantown Challenge. Bain is now tied for Harvard's all-time leader in service aces, with 117 in the books. She was named to the Beantown Challenge All-Tournament team after earning 13 kills, 46 assists and 11 digs. She posted a .778 kill percentage for the weekend.
300 Club
Harvard women's volleyball head coach Jennifer Weiss has led Harvard to 300 wins during her 23-year tenure, including Ivy League titles in 2004, 2014 and 2015. Weiss is the winningest coach in Harvard history and the third-winningest coach in Ivy League history. She led the Crimson to its first NCAA tournament appearance in 2015.
Fresh on the Court
Freshmen Maclaine Fields and Isabelle Tashima successfully launched their Harvard career at the Beantown Challenege. Fields averaged a .429 kill percentage and totaled 4 blocks during the tournament. Tashima tallied 25 digs in two matches and 5 assists.
Scouting Duke
The Blue Devils started off the 2016 campaign with a 3-2 record overall, posting a 3-0 record at the Duke Invitational against UNCG, Eastern Kentucky and LSU. Duke suffered a pair of losses to North Carolina, 3-1, and TCU, 3-2.
This marks the first meeting between the Crimson and the Blue Devils in women's volleyball.
Scouting Loyola Marymount
The LMU Lions currently sit 4-2 overall, posting a 2-1 record at the LMU Invitational against Illinois State, Niagara and UCLA. At the University of Denver Invitational, LMU went 2-1, with a pair of 3-0 wins against Utah and Montana.
This marks the first meeting between Harvard and LMU in women's volleyball.
Scouting Arizona State
The Arizona State Sun Devils started off the 2016 season with a 4-2 record, posting a pair of 2-1 records at the UNM Tournament and the Iowa Tournament. Arizona most recently downed Oakland, 3-2, at the Iowa Tournament.
This marks the first meeting between Arizona State and Harvard.
Scouting Pepperdine
The Pepperdine Waves currently hold a 4-2 overall record. The Waves hosted the Pepperdine Asics Classic Aug. 26-27 and posted a 2-1 record against Rhode Island, Lipscomb and Cal State Northridge. At the Arizona Invitational, Pepperdine earned a pair of wins against SMU (3-1) and Alabama State (3-0) before falling to Arizona (3-0) in the last day of competition.
Harvard currently trails in the series, 0-1, with the schools' only meeting held on Sept. 19, 2003.
