Women's Tennis Returns to Action with Harvard Invitational

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Women's Tennis wraps up its fall season this weekend as it hosts the Harvard Invitational. The Crimson welcomes student-athletes from Boston University, Cornell, Georgetown and Syracuse to Cambridge for the tournament. All matches will be played indoors at the Murr Center Tennis Courts.

When: Nov. 1-3

Friday: 10 a.m. start. Doubles with singles following
Saturday: 10:30 a.m. start. Doubles with singles following
Sunday: 9 a.m. start. Main draw finals, concillation singles finals and extra matches

What to Know

First-year Mihaela Marculescu leads the team with six wins this fall. Sophomore Rachel Eason, meanwhile, is 5-1 in tournament action.
Senior Natasha Gonzalez and sophomore Rachel Lim are coming off a top-eight finish in the doubles draw at the ITA Northeast Regionals.
Jenna Friedel and Lim remain perfect on the doubles court together, posting a 3-0 record in two tournaments this fall.
First-years Sophia Ho and Demi Snyder have impressed in their first collegiate season, holding 4-2 and 3-2 records, respectively.

Leading the Way
Traci Green, the Sheila Kelly Palandjian Head Coach for Harvard Women's Tennis, begins her 13th season at the helm of the Crimson. Green returns a veteran team that played a pivotal role in helping Harvard to a 17-win season and a second-place finish in the Ivy League a season ago. Currently at 140 wins in her career, Green has the second most wins in team history for a head coach.

Next Up
The Crimson will have a few months to prepare for their spring slate, which will be announced later this winter.
