CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard men's ice hockey program has announced the nine-member incoming first-year class of 2024. The Crimson will welcome five forwards, two defensemen, and two goaltenders. The group hails from two countries (U.S. and Canada) and represents five states and one province.
Harvard finished the 2019-20 season at 15-10-6 overall, with a 11-6-5 mark in ECAC Hockey play, defeating St. Lawrence in an ECAC Hockey First Round series before the outbreak of COVID-19 cancelled the remaining ECAC Hockey playoffs. Harvard played the first college hockey games in the state of California since 1999 with the SoCal Clash series against Arizona State in Irvine, and also defeated Yale, 7-0, in the Rivalry on Ice contest at Madison Square Garden. Rising junior defenseman Jack Rathbon e(1st Team) and rising sophomore forward Nick Abruzzese (2nd Team) were named CCM/AHCA All-Americans.
