Box Score WORCESTER, Mass. – The Harvard men's soccer team (5-4-3, 0-1-2 Ivy) topped Holy Cross (8-4-2, 5-1-0 Patriot) with a late score from
Cornelius Bencsik on Tuesday night in Worcester, Mass. The teams traded goals the entire night, ending with a 3-2 score in favor of the Crimson.
Alessandro Arlotti continued his scoring streak in the 11th minute to get Harvard on the board early. Holy Cross chipped back before the end of the half, having outshot the Crimson 8-2.
James Fahmy opened scoring in the second half with his first career goal to push Harvard back in the lead. The Crusaders answered, tying the score again in the 60th minute.
With less than three minutes on the clock,
Cornelius Bencsik fired the game-winner from
James Fahmy and
Willem Ebbinge, sending the Crimson home with a 3-2 victory.
