Baseball Announces 2022 Schedule

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard University baseball will make road trips to the states of Florida, California, and Texas, play in the annual Baseball Beanpot, and compete in 21 Ivy League games as part of its 2022 schedule, The Joseph J. O'Donnell '67 Head Coach for Harvard Baseball Bill Decker announced on Wednesday.
 
Competing for the first time since March 8, 2020 – a span of 719 days – the Crimson will open its 2022 season at Miami for a three-game series in Coral Gables, Fla., from Feb. 25-27. Harvard then plays a four-game series at Rice in Houston, Texas, from Mar. 4-6.
 
Over a 10-game span from Mar. 11-20, the Crimson will play eight games in the state of California. Harvard begins the road swing with a four-game set at Cal Poly from Mar. 11-13 before playing a single game at Fresno State on Mar. 15. The club closes the trip with a three-game series at UCLA from Mar. 18-20.
 
For the first time since May 6, 2019 – a span of 1,055 days – Harvard will compete in an Ivy League regular season game when it plays at Cornell in a three-game series from Mar. 26-27. Harvard will meet an Ivy opponent for the first time since playing Columbia in the Ivy League Championship Series on May 19, 2019 – a span of 1,042 days. The Crimson then closes the month of March with a single game at Holy Cross on Mar. 29.
 
Harvard plays its home-opening series from Apr. 2-3 against Brown as the Crimson will compete at O'Donnell Field for the first time since May 19, 2019 – a span of 1,049 days. The Crimson will host a regular season Ivy game for the first time since April 28, 2019 – a span of 1,070 days.
 
Following a Baseball Beanpot matchup with Massachusetts on Apr. 5, the Crimson will host Penn for a three-game series from Apr. 9-10. Harvard then closes Baseball Beanpot play on Apr. 12.
 
The Crimson will play in back-to-back Ivy road series at Columbia (Apr. 16-17) and at Princeton (Apr. 23-24) with a single home game against Merrimack (Apr. 19) in between the two sets.
 
Harvard returns home to play UMass Lowell on Apr. 26 before hosting Dartmouth for a three-game series from Apr. 30 to May 1 in its final regular season home games of the season.
 
The Crimson closes its regular season with three games at Yale from May 14-15. Harvard will then look to advance to the Ivy League Championship Series from May 21-22.
 
The 2022 NCAA Baseball Championship will begin with regional play from June 3-6 before the Super Regionals from June 10-13 and the College World Series from June 17-27.
