CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 15/16 Harvard men's ice hockey hosts New Hampshire in post-Thanksgiving non-conference action on Friday (Nov. 26) at Bright-Landry Hockey Center. Harvard and New Hampshire will play each other for the first time in eight years (to the day). The Wildcats are 2-1-1 in their last four games, including a 2-1 (OT) win over No. 8 UMass on Nov. 20 in their last contest.

What to Know
• On Tuesday against Brown,
Nick Abruzzese had a goal and three assists, and
Alex Laferriere added two goals and an assist to lead Harvard to a 5-2 win over at Bright-Landry Hockey Center.
Mitchell Gibson made 18 saves in net to earn the win, as Harvard outshot Brown 40-20 for the night, and finished a perfect 5-for-5 on the penalty kill, while adding a power play goal.
• Once in a shared ECAC conference, Friday's game marks the 32nd meeting between Harvard and New Hampshire in men's ice hockey with Harvard owning a 20-11-0 edge in the series.
• On Nov. 26, 2013, led by Kyle Criscuolo (two goals, assist), Harvard earned a 6-3 win over New Hampshire at Whittemore Center Arena in the last meeting between the two teams. Patrick McNally added a goal and two assists, and Raphael Girard made 33 saves to earn the win in net.
• Harvard has scored first in seven of eight contests this year, and is outscoring teams 12-3 in the first period of games this season.
• Harvard's penalty kill is off to a solid start through eight games, allowing just five goals in 39 power play opportunities (87.2%, 12th, NCAA).
• Harvard is off to a great start on home ice, at 4-0-0 in its first four games at Bright-Landry Hockey Center. Harvard is averaging five goals per game at home, outscoring teams 20-8.
• Harvard added 14 first-years and sophomores after a year away from competition, a group that includes seven NHL draft picks. Within that group are Harvard's top three goal scorers this season in Alex Laferriere (7-3-10), Sean Farrell (5-7-11), and Matthew Coronato (4-6-10), four regular defensemen in Ian Moore (3 assists, +6), Jack Bar (8 GP, assist), Kyle Aucoin (8 GP), and John Fusco (5 GP, goal) and goaltender Derek Mullahy (2-0-0, 1.71, .930).
At the Helm
Following success as a player, Harvard head coach Ted Donato has compiled a long list of accomplishments as head coach of the Crimson. The former Harvard captain has guided Harvard to four ECAC Hockey titles and three Ivy League championships, claimed six NCAA Tournament berths, coached 13 All-Americans and 17 National Hockey Leaguers. Donato, who won an NCAA Championship as a Harvard player in 1989 and enjoyed a 13-year NHL career, has represented Team USA at the World Junior Championships, multiple World Championships, and was the leading scorer of the 1992 Olympic Team in Albertville, France.
