CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard men's soccer team (1-0-1) will host its home opener on Tuesday, Sept. 14 at Jordan Field. The Crimson will go head-to-head with crosstown rival Northeastern (3-1-1) at 7 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on NESN and ESPN+.
Harvard will also debut on brand new turf at Jordan Field featuring the athletic department's new logos and branding.

What to Know
- Nine different players have tallied points so far this season, including four rookies
- As a team, Harvard ranks first in the nation averaging 9.50 shots on goal per game
- The Crimson ranks in the top-10 nationally in assists per game (t-8th, 3), saves per game (2nd, 7), save percentage (8th, .933), shots per game (3rd, 20) and corner kicks per game (6th, 8)

At the Helm
The 2021 campaign marks
Josh Shapiro's second season and first on the field as The Virginia B. and James O. Welch, Jr. '52 Head Coach for Harvard Men's Soccer. Prior to joining Harvard in January 2020, Shapiro led the Tufts men's soccer program for 10 years, winning four DIII National Championships in 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2019.
