STANFORD, Calif. – First-year
Adam Wesson won the 3-meter event and placed second in the 1-meter event to lead No. 23 Harvard University men's swimming and diving in a pair of diving events against No. 10 Stanford University on Wednesday afternoon at the Maas Diving Center at the Avery Aquatic Center.
Wesson scored a 375.53 to take the 3-meter event, registering the Crimson's top score in the event this season. He and senior
Hal Watts eclipsed the NCAA standard marks in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events.
Harvard Highlights
- First-year Adam Wesson won the 3-meter diving event with a score of 375.53, posting the Crimson's top score in the event this season and eclipsing the NCAA standard score of 320. Senior Hal Watts also bested the NCAA standard with a score of 334.80 for third place.
- Alongside Wesson and Watts in 3-meter diving, sophomore Luke Foster came in fourth with a 315.00, and sophomore Nick Nocita placed fifth with a 306.30.
- In 1-meter diving, first-year Adam Wesson led the Crimson with a second-place finish behind a score of 345.08. Senior Hal Watts followed with a 311.18 for third place. Both Wesson and Watts eclipsed the NCAA standard mark of 300.
- Also competing in 1-meter diving, sophomore Luke Foster came in sixth (282.60), and sophomore Nick Nocita placed seventh (277.65).
