2025-26 Men’s Swimming and Diving Season Recap

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Crimson completed its 13th season under Kevin Tyrrell, The Ulen-Brooks Endowed Coach for Harvard Men's Swimming & Diving, in 2025-26, and finished among the nation's best at the NCAA Championships.

Harvard finished the season with a dual-meet record of 8-1, posting its most victories since an identical 8-1 performance in 2021-22. After going 6-1 in the Ivy League, the Crimson traveled to New Jersey for the conference meet and watched first-year William Mulgrew win the 1,000 and 1,650 freestyle events, while Adriano Arioti became an Ivy champion in the 200 back.

The aforementioned duo later received invitations to compete at the NCAA Championships in Atlanta, Georgia. Arioti was a three-race invitee, earning NCAA bids in the 100 back, 200 back and 200 individual medley. Mulgrew, meanwhile, captured national berths in the 500 and 1,650 free. The first-year from Walpole ultimately finished ninth in the 1,650 to secure All-America Second-Team honors.

Mulgrew's 1,650 performance at NCAAs propelled the Crimson into the team standings where it finished in 39th place, marking the program's first final team ranking since 2022.
