CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Junior captain
Nick Abruzzese had a goal and two assists to lead No. 19 Harvard men's ice hockey (8-4-1, 6-2-1 ECAC Hockey) to a 4-1 win over Union (5-10-3, 3-5-1 ECAC Hockey) at Bright-Landry Hockey Center.

Austin Wong had two assists to help the Crimson earn its third straight victory.

Mitchell Gibson made 19 saves to earn the win in net.
Harvard scored three first period goals to take command of the game early on. Farrell scored his eighth of the season, skating into the slot and beating Union goaltender Connor Murphy (36 saves) over the shoulder at 9:43 to make it 1-0.
Abruzzese's one-timer on the power play gave the Crimson a 2-0 lead at 17:36. Then under a minute later, sophomore forward
Alex Laferriere made a beautiful no-look pass from behind the net to find first-year
Alex Gaffney, who found the back of an open net to make it 3-0 at 18:27.
Union's Josh Kosack scored on a breakaway at 19:40 of the second period to cut the Harvard lead to 3-1.
But Harvard would not allow the Dutchmen to get any closer, outshooting Union 13-6 in the third period, and 40-20 for the night.
Thrun's goal at 14:26 of the third period effectively sealed the win for Harvard.
