CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women's volleyball team (2-11, 1-4 Ivy) will be on the road traveling to face Cornell (3-11, 1-4 Ivy) and Columbia (4-10, 1-4 Ivy) this weekend. The Crimson will match up against Cornell on Friday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. followed by a match against Columbia on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 5 p.m. Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+.
What to Know
- Harvard split last year's matches against Cornell, winning the first match 3-1 and falling 3-0 in the second of the season. The Crimson hope to improve upon their overall 29-43 record against Cornell on Friday.
- Similar to last year's record against Cornell, the Crimson split their two matches against Columbia with one win and one loss. The first matchup resulted in a 0-3 loss and the second resulted in a 1-3 win. The Crimson hope to start a win streak with another victory over the Lions on Saturday.
- Harvard finished the 2021 season 7-7 in Ivy League play, ranking fifth at the conclusion of the season.
- Junior Katie Vorhies and first-year Hannah Nguyen were named to the Ivy League Honor Roll the week of Oct. 10 for their performances in last weekend's matches.
