Men's Water Polo Wins Both Games on Sunday to Close Harvard Invitational

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 14 Harvard men's water polo won both games on Sunday to close out the Harvard Invitational. The Crimson opened the day with a 19-4 win over Penn State Behrend before defeating Ponoma- Pitzer 15-5 in the afternoon game.

Harvard Highlights

  • James Rozolis-Hill tallied six goals in the win. He finishes the day with 10 goals over two games. 
  • Kaleb Archer had a hat trick in the first half. 
  • Owen Hale also recorded a hat trick. It was the first time this season that three different Crimson had registered a hat trick.
  • Cam Dougherty got on the board in the third quarter. 
  • Alex Tsotadze and Alex Bucur also scored a goal each. 
  • Noah Hodge was rock solid in net making many difficult saves throughout the game. 


How it Happened 
  • Kaleb Archer and James Rozolis-Hill exchanged goals in the first quarter as the pair scored the Crimson's first seven goals. 
  • Harvard led 5-1 after the first quarter. 
  • The Crimson offense exploded in the second quarter after scoring seven goals. 
  • Owen Hale completed his hat trick in the third quarter. 

Next Up

The Crimson travels to Santa Clara, California for the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament. Harvard opens the tournament on Friday with a rematch against California Baptist University at 7:40 p.m. ET (4:40 p.m. PT). The Crimson then plays Santa Clara University at 1:40 p.m. ET (10:40 a.m. PT) and Fresno Pacific University at 5:40 p.m. ET (2:40 p.m. PT) before closing the tournament with a matchup against San Jose State University on Sunday at 12:20 p.m. ET (9:20 a.m. PT).
