NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Harvard women's tennis wrapped up competition on Saturday at the ITA Northeast Super Regionals. The competition was hosted by Yale University and took place from Oct. 21 – Oct. 24.
Three players from Harvard, sophomore
Rachel Arbitman, senior
Mihaela Marculescu, and sophomore
Maxi Duncan qualified for the tournament. Duncan qualified in singles and Arbitman and Marculescu qualified in doubles.
In singles, Duncan defeated Army's Cooper Jackson, 6-3, 7-6, in the opening round of the tournament. In the second round, Duncan fell to Boston College's Laura Lopez, 6-1, 6-1.
In doubles, the duo of Arbitman and Marculescu was defeated in a tightly contested match, 7-5, 7-6, by Syracuse's Kimoto/Kozyreva. The pair was the No. 1 seed in the tournament and ranked 11
th in the country.
