CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – With just the Women's Singlehanded National Championship next weekend, the Crimson closes out its fall competition season with the Urn Trophy and Schell Trophy regattas this weekend.

Urn Trophy – Cranston, RI
The temperatures in Cranston, RI will start on the cooler side on Saturday at 40 degrees and raise to nearly 60 throughout the day. Sailors will experience winds ranging from 2-5 knots and gusts mostly out of the south at 9-11 knots. On Sunday, conditions will be very calm with winds not raising above four knots and gusts only reaching nine knots. Temperatures will be slightly higher, ranging from 40-63 degrees.
Schell Trophy – New London, CT
Temperatures in New London, CT will be similar to that of Cranston, RI but winds will be slightly stronger. Winds will be out of the southwest and range from 3-7 knots with gusts from 8-13 knots. On Sunday, conditions will also be calm with winds not raising above three knots during a large portion of the day. Gusts will be consistent at eight and nine knots.

- The Crimson had one of their best weekends of the year last weekend with two first-place finishes at the Open Atlantic Coast Championship and the Yale Women's Regatta.
- First-years Justin Callahan and Kennedy Leehealey were named Open Sailors of the Week for the second time this fall after their first-place finish in the B-division at the Open Atlantic Coast Championship.
- Cordelia Burn and Emily Launderville were named Women's Sailors of the Week after lifting the Crimson to victory at the Yale Women's Regatta with their first-place finish in the B-division.
- Harvard has six first place and 17 top five finishes so far this fall season.
At the helm
Michael O'Connor is entering his 26
th season as the head coach for the Harvard sailing program. Under O'Connor, the Crimson have won national team race championships in both 2002 and 2003. Additionally, they won the national coed championship and women's national title in 2003 and 2005, respectively. Last year, O'Connor led his team back to the ICSA Team Race National Championship and the ICSA Coed Dinghy Championship.
