Women’s Squash Opens Its 2022-23 Season Against Brown

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 2 Harvard women's squash begins their national title defense, November 15 at 5:30 p.m. against Brown University at the Murr Squash Center. 

What to know

  • The Crimson are coming off a phenomenal 2021-22 season in which they finished 15-0 and won their seventh-straight CSA National Championship.
  • Harvard ranked No. 2 in the CSA Preseason Rankings, only behind Trinity College.
  • Seniors Grace Steelman and Charlotte Orcutt will serve as co-captains.  This will be Grace Steelman's second stint as a team captain. 
  • Harvard returns two All-Americans in Marina Stefanoni (first-team) and Habiba Eldafrawy (second-team).
  • The women of Harvard squash currently hold a 98-match winning streak that dates back to 2015.
  • The Crimson have never lost to Brown as the series record stands at 50-0.

Mike Way, the Gregory Lee '87 and Russell Ball '88 Endowed Coach for Squash at Harvard University, enters his 13th season as the leader of Harvard women's squash.  Way currently holds an overall record of 159-5, which includes nine national titles.

Next Up

The women will continue play on November 30 at 5:00 p.m. when they travel to Hanover, NH to take on Ivy foe, Dartmouth.
