DULUTH, Minn. – Alex Pellicci made the fifth-most saves in program history, but it wasn't enough to hold back the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs who picked up a 4-0 win over the Crimson tonight at Amsoil Arena.
The Crimson were within striking distance until the final ten minutes of play, which was when the Bulldogs added three goals, eventually getting the 4-0 result.
How it Happened
- Minnesota Duluth came out firing, putting four shots on target in the first four minutes. Pellicci blocked the first three, but just missed the fourth one, as Duluth took an early 1-0 lead.
- Pellicci saved the next 17 shots she faced in the period as Harvard trailed by only a goal after 20.
- Harvard tried to fight back in the second period, putting six shots on goal but were unable to get the equalizing goal on the board.
- After two periods Pellicci had 33 saves and Harvard only trailed by a goal.
- The Bulldogs put three more goals on the board in the third period as the game ended 4-0 in favor of Duluth.
