Women’s Hockey Drops Contest to Minnesota Duluth to Conclude Series

Box Score DULUTH, Minn. – Harvard women's hockey completed its series with No. 7/8 Minnesota Duluth this afternoon, dropping game two of the series, 9-0.
 
Starting goaltender Alex Pellicci made 42 saves and senior captain Kristin Della Rovere won 18 faceoffs in the effort.
 

How It Happened

  • Starting goaltender, Alex Pellicci, started strong, making five saves to open the contest.
  • Duluth scored two goals in the first 20 minutes to take a lead into the first intermission.
  • The Bulldogs added three other goals in the second period.
  • Harvard put six shots on net in the second frame but were unable to get on the scoreboard.
  • UMD put four more goals on the board to stretch its lead to 9-0.
  • Harvard put five more shots on net in the final period, but again could not get on the board as the game ended with the score reading 9-0 in favor of the Bulldogs.
