No. 1 Men’s Squash Takes on No. 10 Rochester to Open 2022-23 Campaign

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – National title defense will begin on Saturday, November 12 and 12:00 p.m., as Harvard men's squash hosts No. 10 University of Rochester at the Murr Squash Center. 

What to know

  • The Crimson closed out their 2021-22 season last year by going 15-1 and winning their third-straight CSA National Championship.
  • Harvard enters the season as the No. 1 ranked men's squash team in the country based on the CSA Preseason Rankings.
  • The team will be led by senior co-captains Marwan Tarek and George Crowne.
  • The Crimson lead the series against Rochester, 13-4, having won the last five matches.

At the helm

Mike Way, the Gregory Lee '87 and Russell Ball '88 Endowed Coach for Squash at Harvard University, enters his 13th season as the leader of Harvard men's squash.  Way currently holds an overall record of 150-30, which includes four national titles.

Next up

The Crimson will open up Ivy League play next week as they take on Brown on November 15 at 5:30 p.m. in the Murr Squash Center.
