CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. – Harvard senior Emma Buckles was named one of three finalists for ECAC Hockey's Best Defensemen award, the conference announced today. 
 
Buckles joins Yale's Emma Seitz and Quinnipiac's Kendall Cooper as finalists. 
 
The captain has had a terrific season for the Crimson, registering 16 points on seven goals and nine assists, while being a consistent presence on Harvard's top defensive pairing. Buckles' points and goal totals are each career best marks, and her seven goals are the third most in ECAC Hockey by a defender this season. 
 
The Toronto, Ontario native is also tied for the best +/- mark on the team at +20, while ranking third on the roster with 22 blocked shots.
