No. 15 Men’s Tennis Kicks Off Ivy League Action Hosting Dartmouth on Saturday

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Kicking off its Ivy League season, the No. 15 Harvard men's tennis team will host Dartmouth this Saturday, April 2 at 2 p.m. at the Beren Tennis Center. If the match is moved indoors due to weather, it will be played at the Murr Center Tennis Courts and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
 
What To Know
- Harvard enters conference action with a 10-4 overall record, accomplishing a 7-2 mark in its last nine matchups.
- The Crimson will play at home for the first time since Feb. 25 when it captured a 6-1 victory over Vanderbilt. Harvard boasts a 3-0 record when competing on home court.
- Harvard is holding a steady presence in the top-20 of the ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings, placing No. 15 the week of March 30. The Crimson previously reached its highest ranking of the season at No. 10 the week of March 16.
- Captain Brian Shi has proved to be a force to be reckoned with this spring, owning a 12-0 record in singles play this season.
- Harvard is coming off a California road trip in which it went 2-2, taking down No. 27 Utah, 4-1, and No. 59 Wisconsin, 6-1.
- The Crimson has three players ranked in the top 125 players nationwide in singles: No. 22 Henry von der Schulenburg, No. 51 Harris Walker and No. 70 Brian Shi, while Daniel Milavsky and Brian Shi place 24th in the doubles rankings.
- Harvard and Dartmouth will meet for the first time since 2019. The Crimson leads the Big Green in its all-time series, 74-11.

Andrew Rueb '95 is in his fourth season as the Scott Mead '77 Head Coach Harvard Men's Tennis. He was elevated to head coach after spending 11 years at Harvard as an assistant and associate head coach and has helped lead the Crimson to 227 total victories and seven NCAA Tournament appearances during his tenure.
 
Up Next
Back on the road, the Crimson will travel to New York to take on Columbia and Cornell next weekend. Harvard will face the Lions on Saturday, April 9 at 1 p.m., before taking on the Big Red on Sunday, April 10 at 1 p.m. Both matches will be broadcast on ESPN+.
