CHERRY HILL, N.J. - The No. 2 Radcliffe Lightweight Rowing team placed first in the Lightweight Fours grand final and earned two more second place finishes in the final day of the Knecht Cup Regatta. The Radcliffe Varsity Eight crew placed second in its final race of the day, falling by just three seconds to No. 3 Stanford and edging out hometown rival BU by less than a second. The second Varsity Eight Crew also placed second in the petite final after being outpaced by Delaware by only two seconds.
After a strong start in day one, the leading doubles crew took fourth in the grand final, a race that was decided by less than ten seconds.
The Lightweight Varsity Eight crew also entered into the Varsity eight petite final, putting on an impressive showing with a time of 6:58.2, just five seconds off the pace set by Steson.
UP NEXT
The Radcliffe Lightweights will return to Cambridge next weekend to race against Boston University and MIT on the Charles River. The regatta is set to take place the morning of Saturday, April 16.
