CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Opening Ivy League action at home, the No. 15 Harvard men's tennis team (11-4, 1-0 Ivy League) took down Dartmouth (8-7, 0-1 Ivy League), 7-0, this afternoon at the Beren Tennis Center. With the win, the Crimson improved to 11-4 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
Harvard secured the first point of the match with the doubles point after battling to wins at No. 1 and No. 3.
Daniel Milavsky and
Brian Shi opened the match with a 6-2 win on court one, before
Henry von der Schulenburg and
Steven Sun topped Dartmouth's No. 3 pair, 6-4, to give the Crimson an early 1-0 lead.
The Crimson continued its momentum into singles play, claiming the first set in all six matches. Von der Schulenburg took control early on court one, extending Harvard's lead to 2-0 after earning a 6-4, 6-2 win in the No. 1 spot. Harvard secured its third point of the day from
Harris Walker on court three by a score of 6-2, 6-2 to put the Crimson on the brink of victory. First-year
David Lins clinched the match for Harvard in a straight-sets victory, grinding out a 6-3, 6-3 win on court six.
Harvard captured the next two points off wins from
Ronan Jachuck and
Steven Sun in the No. 4 and No. 5 spots, while Shi sealed the 7-0 decision on court two.

Back on the road, the Crimson will travel to New York to take on Columbia and Cornell next weekend. Harvard will face the Lions on Saturday, April 9 at 1 p.m., before taking on the Big Red on Sunday, April 10 at 1 p.m. Both matches will be broadcast on ESPN+.
