PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 4 Harvard-Radcliffe Lightweight Rowing team retained the Class of 2004 Cup with a win over the No. 5 Georgetown Hoyas on Saturday on Lake Carnegie. The Black and White secured a 9.2 second win over Georgetown to kick off the season with a win.
The Radcliffe lightweight team also competed against No. 1 Princeton this morning but were narrowly outpaced in the Class of 1999 Cup race.
The Black and White earned two victories in four races in the regatta, both in fours action. The Varsity four earned a 4.5 second win over Princeton and the novice four followed up with a 43 second win on the 2,000-meter course.
UP NEXT
The Crimson will return to New Jersey next weekend where they will battle for the Knecht Cup on the Cooper River. The regatta is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Apr. 9-10.
