UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Harvard men's volleyball team (12-13, 10-6 EIVA) wrapped up its 2022 campaign with a loss to NJIT in the EIVA semifinals.
The Crimson took the first set but could not get over the top in the next three for a final result of 25-17, 21-25, 18-25 and 22-25.
Campbell Schoenfeld and
Eric Li led the way offensively for the Crimson. Schoenfeld posted 15 kills on a .333 hitting percentage with three blocks, two service aces and a dig, while Li tallied a season-high 14 kills on a .444 clip to go along with four digs and two blocks.
Ethan Smith racked up eight kills with a .500 hitting percentage, as well as seven blocks, a dig and a service ace.
Logan Shepherd came up with seven kills, seven digs, five blocks and a service ace for the Crimson.
Ethan McCrary recorded four kills on a team-high .571 hitting percentage with five blocks and a service ace.
James Bardin had 45 assists with four digs and four blocks, while
Jason Shen tallied 12 digs on the night.
Harvard Highlights
- The Crimson out blocked the Highlanders 14-6.
- This is the sixth top-four EIVA finish for Harvard in the past 10 years.
- The Crimson hit at a .481 clip in the first set.
