CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard clinched its place in the ICSA Dinghy Championship with a second place showing on the Charles River at this weekend's regional qualifier, the NEISA Dinghy Championships.
The Crimson finished the two-day regatta in second place with 136 total points, joining Yale as the conference's two automatic qualifiers to Nationals.
The Floridian pairing of skipper
Lachlain McGranahan and crew
Alexandra Dorofeev put on a terrific performance to place first in the B-division with 38 points. The duo finished no worse than sixth in any of the regatta's 12 races while tallying three firsts and two seconds.
In the A-division,
Henry Burnes and
Dylan Ascencios shared skipper duties alongside crew
Chris Wang, ultimately taking eighth with a weekend score of 98. The top A-division results for the Crimson were a second in race number sixth and a third in the 12th and final race.
