CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Harvard women's rugby moved to 3-0 on the season, dominating Princeton with a shutout game, 102-0, bringing even more reason to celebrate the program's 40th anniversary game.
HARVARD HIGHLIGHTS
- Fans and spectators were on the edge of their seats for this fantastic game watching the Crimson demolish Princeton.
- It was clear that the players put their heart and souls into this game.
- Senior Cassidy Bargell scored the first try of the game within the first two minutes of the game with an amazing assist from Lennox London.
- Sophomore Reese Morgan scored the second try of the game and her first try of the season.
- The unstoppable Lennox London scored three consecutive tries for the fourth, fifth, and sixth tries of the game. London is now the lead try scorer for the team with a total of eight tries on the year.
- Victoria Stanley scored back-to-back tries, with the second try coming as she gained the ball and made a dash from the center of the field without any interference.
- Junior Maeve Humphrey scored the second-to-last try of the game and assisted with a conversion on the last try of the game made by sophomore Kiani Akina pushing the score into the triple digits, 102-0.
- The team scored a record 16 tries in the game – the most so far of the season.
- Seven members of the founding team joined together to be recognized at halftime, honoring 40 years of women's rugby at Harvard.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Princeton began the match with the kickoff, but Harvard got the ball and maintained possession the entire game.
- Within the first minute Lennox London made the sprint towards the try zone, and Cassidy Bargell scored the first try of the game in the first two minutes of the game.
- Harvard maintained excellent offense and and even more rock-solid defense – not allowing a single try from Princeton.
- Harvard showed a lot of depth in its game day roster, giving several depth student-athletes the opportunity to compete against the Tigers.

Harvard will be back on Mignone Field on Friday, Sept. 30 at 7:00 p.m (ESPN+) to play Sacred Heart. This will be the Title IX celebration with a pre-game gathering and post-game clinic.
