CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Women's Rugby first-years Madelyn Hubbell '29 and Sana'a Lunon '29 earned a significant distinction this week, receiving selection to compete at the Global Youth 7s in New Zealand—one of the world's premier stages for emerging rugby talent.

Both athletes have already made a strong impression in Cambridge, contributing pace, physicality, and a level of poise that surpasses their class year. Their selection underscores their standing among the top young players globally and highlights the continued momentum within Harvard's historic and nationally respected program.

Representing their respective pathways on an international platform, Hubbell and Lunon will join elite youth competitors from around the world for a weekend of high-level play, cultural exchange, and development.

The Global Youth 7s will take place in Auckland, New Zealand, from December 19-21, 2025.
