Siofra Murdoch all scored to help No. 14 Harvard field hockey (6-2) earn its fifth straight victory with a 1-0 win over BU (4-6).
Harvard Highlights
Early on in the contest, the Crimson controlled the pace of play and had the majority of scoring chances, including three shots on goal in the opening 15 minutes.
Junior
Emily Berlinghof had one of the best opportunities late in the first quarter, as her reverse stick shot was turned away by BU goalkeeper Caroline Kelly (12 saves) with three minutes to play in the opening period.
The Crimson broke through on a penalty corner redirection by Hoover with 6:44 to play in the second quarter.
Senior goalkeeper
Ellie Shahbo made two saves in the frame to help Harvard maintain its 1-0 lead at the half.
On a penalty corner at the tail end of the third quarter, Broze put in her own rebound on a continuation of Harvard possession with no time on the clock to make it 2-0.
Harvard added another score late in the fourth quarter, as Murdoch fired a shot from straightaway on a penalty corner that was put into the net by a BU defender with 1:13 to go.

- Senior Ellie Shahbo recorded her 19th career shutout, making two saves on the day.
- Harvard has won six straight games in the series against Boston University.
- Senior Olivia Hoover added her second goal of the season, and is now tied for second on the team with five points (two goals, assist) on the year.
- Junior Siofra Murdoch added her second goal of the year and had a team high four shots on goal.
- Harvard outshot BU, 15-2 (shots on goal), for the game, and had a matching 15-2 margin in penalty corners.
