CAMBRIDGE, Mass – Harvard women's tennis opened their 2023 spring season with a bang. In their double header, the Crimson defeated Quinnipiac University 4-0 and Army University 7-0 on Friday, Jan. 20 in the Murr Fitness Center. This is Harvard's first time starting the season with back-to-back shutout wins since the 2001-02 season.
 
Against Quinnipiac, doubles victories at the two spot from Angel You and Demi Snyder and at the three spot from Charlotte Owensby and Mihaela Marculescu gave the Crimson a point advantage heading into singles play.
 
In singles, dominant victories from Owensby, You and Snyder gave the Crimson three more points, bringing their total to four, guaranteeing their win. The rest of the singles matches would not finish.
 
Just hours later, Harvard faced off against Army. Harvard began the meet sweeping the three doubles matches, giving them a 1-0 lead going into the singles matches.
 
In singles, Harvard not only won all six matches, but they did not drop a single set. Their seven to nothing win over Army put an exclamation point on what was already a dominant day.
