BATON ROUGE, LA. – Harvard women's tennis was bested by Penn State University 7-0 on Saturday, January 28, at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Starting in doubles, the Crimson were defeated in their first two matches, giving the doubles point to the Nittany Lions. The doubles match featuring Harvard's
Sophia Ho and
Maxi Duncan against PSU's Karly Friedland and Sofiya Chekhlystova, would end in a 5-5 draw.
In singles, after defeating LSU's No. 7 ranked singles player in the country, Kylie Collins,
Charlotte Owensby came up just short against PSU's No. 53 ranked player in the country, Sofiya Chekhlystova.
Sophia Ho battled fiercely in her match against PSU's Carla Girbau. However, her match would end after a default.
