PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Harvard Women's Volleyball team (11-5, 4-3 Ivy) was swept by the Brown Bears in Providence, R.I. on Saturday. The three sets all had similar results, with scores of 25-19, 25-19 and 25-18.
Set one was a close battle between the Bears and the Crimson, with both teams trading points for the first 12. Brown took control of the set after the halfway point and Harvard was unable to recover, falling 25-19 in the first frame.
The second set went similar to the first, ultimately ending with the exact same results as well, 25-19, Brown. The Bears went on to sweet the match in the third, pulling ahead earlier in the frame and holding the lead as they went on to win the match 3-0 after a 25-18 third set.
Harvard Highlights
- Ashley Wang was the team leader in kills, scoring 9. With a block assist in addition to her kills, Wang led in points with 9.5. She hit .444 on the night.
- Four Crimson players scored aces, with Rocky Aguirre hitting two and Hannah Nguyen, Brynne Faltinsky and Lindsey Zhang scoring one each.
- Wang and Aguirre put up 14 and 13 assists, respectively, the only players to add assists against Brown.
- Lindsey Zhang led the team in digs, making 14. She was followed by Faltinsky and Nicole Prescott with six each.
- Ryleigh Patterson led the Crimson at the net, making three block assists.

Harvard will return home and play host to the Big Green of Dartmouth in their first Ivy League rematch of the season. The match will take place on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 5 p.m. and air on ESPN+.
