Playing in its non-league finale, the Crimson (4-3-6) struck first in the 68th minute on Ojanen's tally and re-gained the lead in the 88th minute on Savva's goal after the host Crusaders (5-7-2) had equalized in the 83rd minute.

Savva scored for the second straight game while the Crimson defense allowed one goal or fewer for the 11th time in 13 matches this season. Harvard – currently first in the Ivy League standings – remained undefeated over its last five games (3-0-2).

How It Happened

  • The Crimson created the better of the first half's chances, holding advantages in shots (8-5) and shots on goal (3-0) at the break. Arlotti nearly broke through in the sixth minute after sophomore Marcos Ojea Quintana created a turnover and played a through ball forward.
  • Harvard continued to pressure Holy Cross late in the half as Kelly almost snuck a shot into the goal in the 36th minute, senior Kaoru Fujiwara drove a shot just over the crossbar in the 37th minute, and junior Kristján Gunnarsson tested the keeper with a low shot in the 45th minute.
  • The Crimson took a 1-0 lead in the 68th minute on Ojanen's goal. Riecke started the sequence with a pass up field, Savva created space for Ojanen as he dummied over the ball, and Ojanen created an angle for himself to slot a shot into the left side of the net.
  • Holy Cross equalized in the 83rd minute as Evan Jones headed home a cross from Ethan Gill.
  • Harvard struck back with just over three minutes to play when Dalaker played a through ball forward to Savva who sent a one-timed shot into the back of the net.
