CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Play for Harvard women's tennis at the ITA Northeast Regionals kicked off today from the Murr Center. The day was comprised of two rounds of doubles and the opening rounds of singles. With a handful of first round byes, the Crimson saw action beginning with the doubles round of 32.
Kavya Karra and
Stephanie Yakoff contributed a win for the Crimson defeating, Peyton Capuano and Michela Moore (Dartmouth), 8-6. With the win, the Crimson duo will face Anastasia Sysoeva and Miyuka Kimto (Syracuse) in the round of 16 tomorrow.
Tomorrow, two singles matches will be played to assemble the final 16 competitors of the regional round. Making their singles debuts at the tournament for Harvard will be Karra, Yakoff,
Holly Fischer,
Kate Kim,
Natalie Block, and
Angel You. Play will begin at 8:00 a.m. inside the Murr Center.
