PRINCETON, N.J. – Six Harvard women's soccer student-athletes received All-Ivy League awards this afternoon after completing exceptional regular seasons in 2023.
Hannah Bebar,
Josefine Hasbo and
Jade Rose all were named First-Team All-Ivy, while
Smith Hunter,
Anna Karpenko and Ólöf Kristinsdóttir collected Second-Team honors.
In addition to the six All-Ivy League team slots,
Jade Rose was named the Ivy League's Defensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. First-year phenom, Ólöf Kristinsdóttir, also picked up a major award after being named the Ivy League Rookie of the Year.
The Crimson recently finished up its regular season campaign with a record of 10-3-2 and a 5-1-1 mark in conference play. Harvard reached the ten-win mark for the fourth consecutive season and will now head down to Providence, R.I. to compete in the first ever Ivy League Women's Soccer Tournament.
The Crimson is set to begin its postseason run with a matchup against the Princeton Tigers in Providence this Friday at 2:00 PM.

Jade Rose – Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year, First-Team All-Ivy League
- Earned the Ivy League's Defensive Player of the Year award for the second consecutive season.
- Still is the only player to earn the honor in Ivy League history (award began in 2022).
- Started in all 12 games she played in this season.
- Scored one goal and added three assists to total five points on the year.
- Led a Harvard defensive unit that allowed opponents only 6.3 shots per game and 41 shots to reach Harvard's net all season.
- Contributed to six Harvard shutouts in 2023.
- Unanimously chosen to the All-Ivy First-Team for the third time in her career.
- Became the 11th player in program history to earn three All-Ivy League First-Team honors.
Ólöf Kristinsdóttir – Ivy League Rookie of the Year, Second-Team All-Ivy League
- Became the 15th Crimson student-athlete to earn the Rookie of the Year award and the second in three seasons (Hannah Bebar – 2021).
- Was the team leader in goals scored with seven in 2023.
- Finished second in the Ivy League in goals scored.
- Totaled 16 points with her seven goals and two assists.
- Played in all 15 games in 2023, making 11 starts.
Hannah Bebar – First-Team All-Ivy League
- This is the third First-Team All-Ivy League selection for Bebar.
- Became the 12th student-athlete in program history to land on the First-Team three times in her career.
- Started in all 15 games for Harvard in 2023.
- Scored four goal and dished out five assists to tally 13 points on the year.
- Josie collected was voted unanimously to the All-Ivy League First-Team for the first time in her career.
- This is Hasbo's third All-Ivy honor after collected Second-Team honors in 2022 and an Honorable Mention nod in 2021.
- Hasbo tied for the team lead in points with 16 in just 12 games and also tied for the team lead in assists with six.
- Began the season on a three-game goal scoring streak and tallied a goal or assist in nine of the twelve games she played in.
Smith Hunter – Second-Team All-Ivy League
- Earned the first All-Ivy League honor of her career with her appointment to the second team.
- Was a key player on the Crimson backline, helping the team to six shutouts in 2023.
- Scored her first career goal and added three assists from her wing back position.
- Played in all 15 games, making 14 starts for the Crimson.
Anna Karpenko – Second-Team All-Ivy League
- Earned the first All-Ivy League honor of her career with her appointment to the second team.
- Started in 14 games for the Crimson, anchoring the team in its 10 wins.
- Served as team captain in the 2023 season.
- Posted six shutout victories, the second-most for an Ivy League goalkeeper this season.
- Made 22 saves and held a .94 GAA in 2023.
