HANOVER, N.H.- Harvard women's tennis (4-4) defeated Cornell University (1-6) 4-0 in the first round of the ECAC Championships on Friday, Feb. 10, at Dartmouth College.
The Crimson got off to a fast start in doubles, with Harvard's duos of

Iveta Daujotaite and
Angel You /
Charlotte Owensby each defeating their Big Red opponents. The two doubles victories gave the doubles point to the Crimson.
Heading into singles with a 1-0 lead, the Crimson's momentum never wavered. In the two spot,
Maxi Duncan defeated Cornell's Lauren Stein 6-2, 6-1.
Angel You and Sany Gawnade would also pick up convincing victories.
With the Crimson having a 4-0 advantage and already securing victory, the other three singles matches would not finish.
This win is Harvard's third shutout of the season.

The Crimson will face off against the No. 1 seed in the tournament, Princeton, on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. The Tigers are 4-2 on the year and defeated the No. 8 seed Dartmouth 4-3 to advance to the second round.
