CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 1 Harvard Men's Squash (13-0) downed No. 21 St. Lawrence in perfect fashion, sweeping the Saints while not dropping a single game.
Through the first three matches of the contest, the Crimson pulled out to a 3-0 with sweeps from
Neel Joshi,
Bobby Cupps, and
George Crowne.
To ultimately secure the win,
Conner Stoltz and
Denis Gilevskiy added wins to put the Crimson up 5-0 with four matches outstanding.
Harvard was able to successfully sweep St. Lawrence following wins from,
Ayush Menon,
Ido Burstein,
Erik Wang, and
Tate Harms.
Harvard Highlights
- In just his second appearance for the Crimson, Cupps cruised to a 3-0 victory at the No. 8 position, only dropping 13 points throughout the three games.
- For the first time this season, Crowne played at the No. 1 position for the Crimson, downing his opponent 11-5, 11-5, 11-8.
- Ayush Menon dropped the least number of points by any Crimson player, only dropping nine points throughout three games.
- In his first appearance of the year, Wang won at the No. 9 position, defeating his opponent.
- Following the win, the Crimson pull further ahead in the all-time series against St. Lawrence, now leading 7-4.
