CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's tennis hosted Baylor University on Wednesday, Feb. 8. The Crimson fought hard, competing in multiple close sets. However, the Bears would take the match in the end, 5-2.
 
Starting in doubles, the Crimson were defeated in their first two matches, giving the doubles point to the Bears. The doubles match featuring Harvard's Sophia Ho and Maxi Duncan against Baylor's Paula Baranano and Daniella Dimitrov, would end in a 5-4 DNF.
 
In singles, sophomore Maxi Duncan defeated the No.7 Baylor's Anita Sahdiieva 6-4, 6-4 in the number two position. Mihaela Marculescu would also defeat her opponent in singles, Daniella Dimitrov, 3-6, 6-2, 7-6 (5).

The Crimson head up to Hanover, New Hampshire to compete in the ECAC Championships from Friday, Feb. 10 – Sunday Feb. 12. The Crimson will face off against Cornell at 11 a.m to open the tournament. If they win, they will matchup against the winner of Princeton vs. Dartmouth on Saturday, February 11 at 2 p.m. If they lose, they will matchup against the loser of Princeton vs. Dartmouth on Saturday, February 11 at 8 a.m. Their final match will take place on Sunday, Feb. 12.
