BOCA RATON, Fla. – Junior
Ben Rounds tallied four hits and two RBIs, and Harvard University baseball rallied to tie the score in the top of the eighth before falling to Florida Atlantic University, 9-6, on Sunday afternoon at FAU Stadium.
In the third game of a four-game set, the Crimson (1-10) took a 2-0 lead in the top of the third, pulled within 5-4 in the sixth, and tied it at 6-6 in the top of the eighth before the host Owls (10-6) plated three runs in the bottom of the eighth to take the win.
Rounds posted his first multi-hit game of the season. As a team, Harvard totaled 10 hits for its fifth game with double-figure hits on the year.

- Senior Hunter Baldwin tallied a triple, an RBI, two runs scored, and a walk.

- Senior Will Jacobsen threw 4.0 innings in the start, permitting three runs, all earned, on four hits and three walks with one strikeout.
- First-year Callan Fang did not allow an earned run in 2.0 innings of relief. He gave up three unearned runs on three hits and one walk with two strikeouts.
- The Crimson tallied 10 hits in the game, marking the team's fifth game with double-figure hits through 11 games on the year.
How It Happened
- Harvard scored the game's first two runs in the top of the third as Baldwin hustled home following a wild pitch and Rounds came home after senior Zach Brown absorbed a hit by pitch. FAU hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the frame to move ahead 3-2 and added two runs in the fifth to take a 5-2 edge.
- The Crimson responded with a pair of runs in the top of the sixth to pull within 5-4. Baldwin plated a run with a triple to right center before Rounds scored a run with a single to center field. The Owls countered with a run in the bottom of the sixth to extend their lead to 6-4.
- Harvard tied the game at 6-6 with two runs in the top of the eighth. Williams laced a double off the right field wall to score a run before Rounds posted another RBI single. FAU countered with three runs in the last of the eighth to re-gain a 9-6 advantage.
