Ben Rounds each hit home runs, but Harvard University baseball fell to Princeton University, 18-9, on Friday afternoon at O'Donnell Field in the series opener of its first Ivy League home series of the season.
The Crimson (5-16, 2-2 Ivy) pulled within 7-5 in the fifth inning following a three-run homer from Jacobsen and two-run shot from Rounds before the visiting Tigers (10-11, 4-0 Ivy) plated seven runs over the sixth and seventh frames to gain separation.
Rounds hit his team-high fifth home run of the season while Jacobsen launched his second homer of the year.
Due to weather, officials revised the weekend series' format to begin with a single game on Friday. The final two games of the series are tentatively slated for Saturday and Sunday. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Sunday if Saturday's contest is rained out.

How It Happened
- The Tigers opened the game with a 6-0 lead through three innings, scoring three runs in the first, one in the second, and two in the third.
- The Crimson cut into the lead with a three-run home run to left center field from Jacobsen, bringing Harvard within 6-3 in the bottom of the fourth. Princeton moved ahead 7-3 with a run in the top of the sixth.
- Harvard trimmed the margin to 7-5 in the last of the fifth as Rounds launched a two-run homer to right field, notching his team-high fifth homer.
- Princeton plated two runs in the sixth and five runs in the seventh to stake itself to a 14-5 edge.
- In the bottom of the eighth, Feller hit a line drive to center field to bring in a run with a sacrifice fly.
- Princeton added four runs in the top of the ninth.
- In the bottom of the ninth, Bravo hit an RBI double, and Berger brought in a run with a ground ball. Bravo later scored on a wild pitch.

Harvard is tentatively slated to complete the series with Princeton with a single game on Saturday, Apr. 1 at 2:00 p.m. (ESPN+) and a single game on Sunday, Apr. 2 at noon (ESPN+). If Saturday's contest is rained out, the two teams will finish the series with a doubleheader on Sunday, Apr. 2 beginning at 11:30 a.m. (ESPN+).
